Apr 17, 2018Hagerstown, Md., passed away Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2018, at Meritus Medical Center.Born March 15, 1948, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Rita Delores (West) and Charles Russell Higgins Sr.Calvin retired from Jefferson County Asphalt.He was a member of Williamsport (Md.) Red Men Conococheague Tribe 84.He is survived by his wife, Kathy Higgins; two daughters, Kay Doyle and Shawn Hess; one son, Calvin W. Higgins Jr.; one sister, Patricia Higgins; three brothers, Terry L. West, Dennis J. Higgins and John F. Higgins; six grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.Calvin was preceded in death by one sister, Carolyn Higgins; two brothers, Charles "Chuck" Higgins Jr. and Jeffrey Higgins; and two grandchildren.The family will receive friends Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2018, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown.A graveside service will be Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Riverview Cemetery, Williamsport. The Rev.
